The open plan home has a wooden interior and is sunny and warm. It is situated right on the bank of the Tongariro River and there are wonderful views of the river. The guest bedroom has a private entrance through a glass conservatory and overlooks the river and native garden. No smoking inside please. Leslie is a retired hotel manager and Maryke is a visitor centre manager. They enjoy tramping, trout fly fishing, skiing, gardening and native birdlife. They have an Australian cattle dog (stays outside).
