Drawbacks are: No genuine seaside beach (only a seawater canal) even though the sand is fine and clean); boat services to take you to a more secluded marine environment are not readily available either; surroundings of the hotel are not very attractive (located between two bridges, a lot of construction work going on; the view on the beautiful mosque on the other side of the canal has become impaired by new buildings such as a large stadium and a new hotel complex); rather noisy area as well because the hotel is located exactly below the approach flight path of the Abu Dhabi downtown airport and because of intense water scooter traffic in the waterfront taking place daily from noon until the evening. 2012-04-12 - expedia.com
